#GermanGP | Ramirez is the fastest, Canet is out of Q2!
Marcos Ramirez is ahead of everyone in the last session of free practice with Can Oncu and Salac behind; many top riders are out of Q2 for the moment as Aron Canet and Tony Arbolino did not manage to get a lap into top 14
Sachsenring is a short circuit and could give many surprises and so it was in the last session of Moto3 free practice as long as we had a lot of top riders who missed the access to the last session of qualifying like Aron Canet and Tony Arbolino. The Spaniard was able to perform a good lap in his penultimate attempt but he exceeded track limits in the exit of the last corner, while the Italian did not find any single good lap time.
At the end it was Marcos Ramirez leading the package in front of Can Oncu, who took benefit from Leopard rider’s slipstream in his fast lap; both are ahead of an impressive Salac, who is doing a really good weekend overall being fast and consistent. We cannot say the same thing for his teammate Jakub Kornfeil who ended in 19th and should pass through Q1.
4th place for Alonso Lopez followed by Ayumu Sasaki and Gabriel Rodrigo, with the three having a gap from FP3 leader of three tenths of a second. Behind them we have Kaito Toba, 7th, Tatsuki Suzuki, Lorenzo Dalla Porta and Niccolò Antonelli, who found a good lap in the final minutes to snatch direct access to Q2. Last 4 places are taken by Raul Fernandez despite a crash in the end but yesterday’s lap time was good enough to stay in top 14, Sergio Garcia, Romano Fenati and Albert Arenas.
