#ItalianGP | Arbolino holds off Dalla Porta and gets his maiden victory!
Thrilling ending at Mugello in Moto3, with Lorenzo Dalla Porta who lost again at photofinish against a superb Tony Arbolino who wins for the first time ever
Tony Arbolino’s weekend could not go better than this after the pole position of Saturday and gets his maiden victory in a fantastic scenario at Mugello. Snipers’ rider has been superb on managing the race and especially the penultimate lap where he was in 5th position. Tony closed the gap and in the last lap he overtook Jaume Masia at the last corner and then got the slipstream to snatch victory from Lorenzo Dalla Porta.

Nothing to do so for Leopard rider who lost again ah photofinish as happened in Qatar, with the Italian being leading the race for most of the time and showed that he was the man to beat, especially when he overtook 5 riders at the last corner in the first part of the race.
Podium also for Jaume Masia, who appeared in the first positions just at the last lap with a strong late brake at “San Donato” to get for the first time the lead of the race. A little mistake in the middle part of the track compromised his chances of victory, but the Spaniard did a great last lap to get 3rd position.
Just out of top 3 Niccolò Antonelli and Dennis Foggia, with the two Italians who did a fantastic job with a great comeback, considering that Sic58 Squadra Corse rider was starting from really behind after the penalty. 7th place for championship leader Aron Canet, who lost some points.
Not the best result for Gabriel Rodrigo, crashed in the early stages, while Andrea Migno and Romano Fenati could not convert their chances to fight for the podium due to an incident in the final laps.
