Despite a sad crash in wet Race 1 on Saturday in which was third, Leon Haslam could be satisfied with Misano’s weekend in which he obtained 2 podiums in a row. Things are still far from perfection for the Briton, but at the end Sunday was not so bad.

Redemption for Leon after a bad Saturday : “Crashing out in the rain while I was third was frustrating. It was my mistake while I was trying to catch Tom. Last race today I was struggling from lap 1, I did not have feeling on the front but it was pretty much the same for everyone”.

Haslam is still suffering a lack of confidence with his Kawasaki: “We still struggle in some areas but we made a good step in Jerez’s test. The biggest problem for me is the corner entry, in Jerez we made a step and we made another one this weekend with the electronic that helped me. I know what I need to do, sometimes it can be frustrating because sometimes I do not ride like I want. Overall has been a good weekend with two podiums”.

Race 2 was not easy due to a clash with Marco Melandri as well: “Marco touched me between turn 1 and 2 in the direction change, I thought I knocked him off. I was doing my line and you know, it is Marco, he puts himself in this positions, I am expecting that, no differences for me”.
