After two stunning races and a pole position start in Race 2, everyone was expecting again some big things from Toprak Razgatlioglu and it seemed that everything was ready for a fantastic race where a lot of riders could fight for top positions in early stages as happened yesterday. It was not the case unfortunately, because the Turkish had overall a not so bad start but went wide at turn 5 but things went even worse some corners later where Puccetti rider crashed involving even Alvaro Bautista who had a good beginning.

We had so 2 contenders for podium position out just at the first lap, with Jonathan Rea and Michael Van Der Mark who could create immediately a consistent gap on their rivals, despite Alex Lowes tried and was able for just a bit to stay close to them letting us thing that he could fight for the victory too. However, in the final stages of the race the Briton from Yamaha lost time and conquered a secure podium spot, while his teammate Van Der Mark had to face Jonathan Rea.

Reigning World Champion did not have to push too much with Alvaro Bautista out as long as his 5th World Title was pretty sure after that first lap, but Kawasaki rider still wanted to push at the limit and engaged the battle against the Dutch from Yamaha with some really nice and risky moves, being able then with 5-6 laps to go to create a little margin on his rival going to get the big prize, a double one considering that he also conquered another World Champion Title.

Magny-Cours crowns indeed Jonathan Rea who gets his fifth consecutive World Title, probably one of the toughest one considering how good was Alvaro Bautista’s start of the season, but the Briton never gave up and was able to get the maximum from every race, being paid off today where he could celebrate with his team another great result.

Michael Van Der Mark and Alex Lowes were alongside him on the podium for the celebrations, with two Yamahas rider who ended the weekend in a really good way finishing on the podium both. Chaz Davies could not even stay close to them and ended in 4th, while Loris Baz followed him. The French crossed the line ahead of Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri, with Tom Sykes, Leon Camier and Jordi Torries in top 10. Last rider who got points are Leandro Mercado, Eugene Laverty, Barrier, Kiyonari and Marcus Reiterberger.
