Moto GP | Doha GP | FP1|Jack Miler leads the Ducati 1-2 as reigning champion missed out on direct Q2 shot
It was Jack Miller of Ducati, who set the pace in FP2 ahead of team-mate Francesco Bagnaia and Pramac Racing rider Johann Zarco
FP2 was all about getting into the top ten and getting direct entry into Q2, FP1 times were tumbled straight away as Qatar GP pole sitter Francesco Bagnaia set the early bench mark of 1:54.074, Jorge Martin who was in top positions in FP1 slotted himself behind the Italian rider immediately
After the first runs everyone was focusing on long runs with soft-soft combination, until it was less than twenty minutes left in the session when Japanese rider Takaaki Nakagami start to put on new times on the charts going P2 a tenth behind the Italian Bagnaia.
With fifiteen minutes remaining in the session it was Jorge Martin who opened the throttle and improved from P4 to P3 and then took the lead of timing sheets by going P1.
Alex Rins was quick enough to deny the joy of Jorge Martin by going fastest with sub 1:54 and the first rider to break into 1:53s.

First Fabio Quartarao then Aleix Espargaro showed their authority at time charts and Aleix with the time three tenths clear of rest of the field.
Less than three minutes remaining in the session Jack Miller took the charge and gaining significant time sector by sector, by the time he was P19 and with the lap time of 1:53.145 more than half a second faster than the rest of the field went P1.
Final few minutes of the session were full of action as Francesco Bagnaia 0.313 down on leader went second fastest ahead of Johann Zarco and Fabio Quartararo.
Jorge Martin ahead of Aleix Espargaro completed the top five as Aleix Espargaro didn’t fell the need to go out in the end stages as he was confident of the time he set earlier and it was enough to earn him direct place into Q2.
Behind Aleix was Petronas Yamaha SRT rider Franco Morbidelli who had a smooth session unlike the FP1 run where he came to halt twice.
Less than tenth behind Yamaha rider was Rins and Maverick Vinales who was just able to make his way into top ten ahead of Stefan Bradl who was 0.769 behind the leader.
Last years champion missed out on the opportunity to directly qualify into Q2 along with the multiple world championship wiiner Valentino Rossi
