Historic day at Sachsering as long as we had the first official session of MotoE with first ever session of qualifying. The format of the E-Pole is different from the one we are used to see in MotoGP, Moto3 and Moto2, with MotoE who replicates the old Superbike Superpole in which riders has just one single shot.

In this scenario it was Niki Tuuli who got first ever MotoE pole position riding in 1.27.456 being faster than Hector Garzo for almost eight tenths of a second, while Eric Granado is really close to Garzo being just 0.011s slower and Mike Di Meglio is 4^th ahead of Xavier Simeon for just 5 thousandths of a second.

We have then Matteo Ferrari with Bradley Smith and Nicolas Terol are just behind; this three riders are also the last who rode under the 1.28 threshold, with Alex De Angelis being the first one going over the 1.28 ending in 9^th ahead of Mattia Casadei.

11^th position for Lorenzo Savadori ahead of Niccolò Canepa and Sete Gibernau, while Foray, Randy De Puniet and Josh Hook are in the back of the grid. Blag flag for Jesko Raffin and Maria Herrera for not leaving pit lane in the right time.
