#DutchGP | Antonelli snatches pole position from Kaito Toba!
A last second super lap from Niccolò Antonelli puts him on pole position ahead of Kaito Toba and Tony Arbolino!
It was a thrilling Moto3 Q1 in which we had many top riders fighting for a Q2 spot! Pretty much almost everyone waited for Leopard duo to get a lap behind them trying to get a good slipstream, with Marcos Ramirez and Lorenzo Dalla Porta did not have any single chance to get a good crono in their first run.
In the final minutes, the Spaniard and the Italian had still to face the chaotic traffic but they were still able to perform a good lap to get first and second position; nothing to do for Jaume Masia, who had a great chance in his last lap in which he had three record intermediates but his chance was ruined by Booth Amos who had a contact with him in the last corner, who spoiled Andrea Migno’s lap too.
The other two riders being able to get the direct access to Q2 were Can Oncu, with KTM rider having a good qualifying finally and Alonso Lopez.
It seemed then that Kaito Toba did a fantastic lap in his first run but in the final minutes everyone was able to improve his lap time with Niccolò Antonelli being the fastest rider on track! Toba kept his place despite taking the chequered flag before even trying a last attempt while Tony Arbolino closed first row with a stunning last second lap.
Tatsuki Suzuki ended in 4th opening the second row, followed by Celestino Vietti who finally made a good qualifying session and Ai Ogura. Jakub Kornfeil is 7th riding alongside Can Oncu not being involved in the mega group ahead of Lorenzo Dalla Porta and championship leader Aron Canet.
