Snipers' rider has been the only rider being able alongside Tatsuki Suzuki to perform a lap under the 2.17; the Italian has been faster than the Japanese for almost three tenths of a second.

Other three Italians from 3rd to 5th: Niccolò Antonelli is the first guy over the 2.17 and he has a gap of almost half of a second from the top, followed by Lorenzo Dalla Porta and Tony Arbolino, separated by just 1 thousandht. 

Aron Canet is 6th, ahead of Jakub Kornfeil and Gabriel Rodrigo; temporary top 10 is closed by Ayumu Sasaki and Andrea Migno, who suffered an heavy crash during the last minutes of the session.
