Ducati Lenovo Team’s Jack Miller stormed to the top of the timesheets with a time of 1:53.387 - just 0.007s off the lap record held by M. Marquez. Francesco Bagnaia managed to make it a Ducati Lenovo Team 1-2, setting a time of 1:53.422. Monster Energy Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo rounded out the top 3 with a time of 1:53.575.

Pramac Racing’s Johann Zarco finished 4^th on the opening day at that #QatarGP. Alex Rins ended day one in 5^th, a solid opening day for the Team Suzuki ECSTAR rider. Maverick Viñales rounded out the top 6, a positive start to the weekend for the Monster Energy Yamaha team.

 Petronas Yamaha SRT’s Franco Morbidelli placed 7^th, having topped the timesheets in FP1, he will look to improve through tomorrow’s qualifying sessions. Aleix Espargaro impressed aboard the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini machine, leading a portion of the FP2 session, ending his opening day in 8^th. Valentino Rossi ensured all 4 Yamahas appeared in the top 10, ending the opening sessions in 9^th, aboard the Petronas SRT Yamaha. Despite a small off at the end of FP2, Pol Espargaro had a positive session, finishing 10^th overall.

The fastest Rookie on the opening day of the #QatarGP was Jorge Martin, who placed 13^th aboard his Pramac Racing Ducati.
