#USAWorldWBK | Chaz Davies is back in business in Race 2 while Bautista retires!
Chaz Davies finally gets his first win of the season with a superb race in which his teammate was forced to retire giving to Rea (2nd) other 20 points in Championship Standings
“God bless America”: this is probably what Chaz Davies would say at the end of Laguna Seca’s weekend in which he seemed to have found confidence back since Friday and after a positive Race 1 and Superpole Race in which he finished 2nd, he finally managed to come back to victory in Race 2.
It seemed like a copy of Race 1, with Davies taking the role of Jonathan Rea starting really well jumping into the lead, with reigning World Champion who tried a 1st place move in early stages with an immediate counter attack from Ducati rider who did not let any chance to his rival from that moment running away from everyone.
Disaster weekend on the otherside for Alvaro Bautista, who was forced to retire after just one lap due to much pain on the shoulder after Superpole Race crash in which he was not even able to rejoin the race but after being taken to the medical center he was declared fit to race. Big shot so for Jonathan Rea who increases a lot his championship lead with the Spaniard who did 0 points during the whole weekend.
Solid Sunday for Toprak Razgatlioglu, who ended again on the podium; the Turkish had a good start in which he got immediately 3rd position and no one was able to catch him, while behind him it looked like Tom Sykes had a secure 4th place but the Briton did a mistake that relegated him to 5th position behind Alex Lowes and ahead of Leon Haslam.
