Michael Van Der Mark is fit to race in Donington!

Great news for SBK as long as Michael Van Der Mark is fit to race despite the big accident he had in Misano just two weeks ago but at the same time Reiterberger is out due to flu with Hickman replacing him

No one thought after Misano that Michael Van Der Mark could come back already in Donington; someone even said that he was about to miss Suzuka 8-hour over British and American GP at Laguna Seca. The accident of Misano seemed to be big and so it was considering that the Dutch rider broke his right wrist over than nine and 10 ribs on the right side, forcing him to miss the whole weekend in Misano.

Luckily, Michael has been able to come back on track already this weekend in Donington in a good track for him; Van Der Mark obtained his first victory of career last here just in British soil conquering also Race 2 the day after. For the moment has been declared fit from the doctors but he has to be declared fit to race again after the first session of free practice.

On the other side, Marcus Reiterberger is forced to miss British GP due to flu, with Peter Hickman, who is actually riding for Smith’s BMW Racing Team in the British Superbike Championship. BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team will still have so two bikes in their box, with Tom Sykes ready to fight in home soil
