#RiminiWorldSBK | Toprak Razgatlioglu “I will try to win in Donington!”
Stunning day for Razgatlioglu in Misano with a fantastic podium after a great fight against Rea after a not so positive Race 1 Saturday
Toprak Razgatlioglu went so close to his first SBK ever win in Misano after a great duel against Jonathan Rea in which he tried everything he could to overtake reigning World Champion. A fantastic way to end the weekend after the bad crash he had in Race 1 on Saturday during the last lap and now the Turkish is chasing for even more.
Probably the best race so far in Toprak’s career: “This one was my best race for me, yesterday we had a big crash and I did not have good feeling this morning. I followed Johnny and Haslam after Bautista’s crash and my feeling was really good, so I tried to overtake both and create a gap”.
Puccetti rider was able to jump on top but could not create a gap on Jonathan: “Johnny stayed with me until the end and during the last laps the fight started. I tried everything I could to win the race and I had some point in which I was really strong, like turn 4 braking where I tried a move but Rea closed the door and then at turn 8 but stopping the bike was not easy because I was sliding a lot”.
The real goal now is winning a race from now to the end of the season: “Overall I am happy after the big crash of yesterday, the crew deserves it. This year the dream Is to win and I will try in Donington! I am satisfied for my team”.
Razgatlioglu stepped up a lot this year and someone wants him in the factory team: “Our bike is not too different from the official, material is pretty much the same except engine, but I do not feel too much differences. To be honest, I do not know if I prefer to stay with Puccetti or be promoted in the factory team”.
Next step before Donington is testing the bike for Suzuka 8 hour: “I am going to test in Suzuka on Tuesday with Leon, while Johnny not”.
