Romano Fenati conquers the first session of the year in Qatar. The Italian has been the only rider being able to do a lap under 2.00.6 in Moto3's session and showed an impressive pace during free practice 1.
Behind him we find Jakub Kornfeil, with 2.00.617, three tenths of a second slower than the best performance: the Czech is the first KTM in the time sheet, in front of Lorenzo Dalla Porta, who did his best lap just at the last shot.
Fourth place for Dennis Foggia, over half of a second slower than Fenati; the Sky VR46 guy is followed by Ayumu Sasaki and Tony Arbolino.
2.06.777 is the time that brings Aron Canet in 7th place, in front of his compatriot Alonso Lopez.
Kaito Toba and Celestino Vietti close the top 10, as the Italian is the first rider with a gap of over a second.
This year first 14 places are crucial in combined times, since they give acces to Q2: so, Andrea Migno is 11th, Albert Arenas 12th, Niccolò Antonelli, who crashed at the begin of the session, is 13th and Fernandez 14th.
