Everyone knew that the second session of the day could be crucial for the direct access into Q2, as long as Saturday's sessions could be affected by the rain.

John McPhee and Tony Arbolino were the only riders being able to get a lap under the 1.50; the Briton did a 1.49.892 with the Italian just 0.079s slower.

Third place for Niccolò Antonelli, who got his best lap at his last chance and first rider over 1.50, ahead of Gabriel Rodrigo and his teammate Tatsuki Suzuki.

Aron Canet ended in 6th with 1.50.337, followed by Dennis Foggia and  FP1 leader Jaume Masia.

Vicente Perez and Raul Fernandez are the last riders in top 10, while Lorenzo Dalla Porta, who suffered a little crash at the beginning of the session, is 11th.

Last three places to get the direct access into Q2 are taken by Marcos Ramirez, Kaito Toba and Romano Fenati.
