Techeetah had to change his battery ahead of the qualifying and the second round of the Saudi EPrix.
In a sunny cold morning, DS Techeetah driver, Antonio Felix Da Costa set the pace in Practice 3 with a time of 1:11.084, faster than Friday's race winner Sam Bird just 0.02 seconds ahead of the qualifying and the second round of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship at the Diriyah EPrix.
Alexander Sims managed to be third for BMW i Andretti Motorsport.
Da Costa's teammate and the reigning champion, Jean-Eric Vergne had a difficult day he hit the wall just 10 min after the session started and quit earlier, the French had a problem with his steering system as the team had to replace it last night, and today, following the incident, they also decided to change his battery ahead of the qualifying session.
Other incidents in the session included Felipe Massa caught the wall causing damage to the front right suspension of his Venturi team, and, James Calado who suffered damage after he touched the wall and damaged his front and rear of his Jaguar I-Type4 ending his session prematurely.
