Status quo could be the solution if a deal with Hulkenberg (“an interesting option” were Gunther Steiner words) couldn’t lead to an end; even Ocon’s path seems to lose chances: “Haas isn’t a team […] where other teams can loan drivers to let them grow” added.

The other option, Sergio Perez, is always a valid decision, for his solid sponsor intake and for his experience; the partner of the Mexican can guarantee him to be a zero-cost driver and his figure is seen as strategical for the South States of USA, being F1 lacking an American driver.

Toro Rosso

If Gasly could be moved back from the main team (as Daniil Kvyat in 2016), another desired option could be promoting the F2 driver Luca Ghiotto: as an Italian driver and one of the few who owns the F1 Super-Licence, could be a good move for Faenza.

Williams

Months ago, some hard reactions of Robert Kubica towards the good performances of teammate Russell, pointed out that inside Grove tensions are mounting between the Polish and the team establishment; some allusions to the disparity of performances are the sign that Robert and his partner are looking around for better opportunities: the national oil company PKN Orlen, through the words of its CEO, admitted that contacts with other teams are in place.
