As expected, no one was able to stop Marc Marquez’s dominance at Aragon. The Spaniard had too much pace and rhythm as showed during the whole weekend and used it totally to turn off any hope of his rivals. Reigning World Champion had a perfect start and led the race from first to last lap without any trouble to win Aragon Grand Prix with a big margin. That means Marquez will have first World Title match point in Buriram, with high chances that Marc will be able to convert it.

The battle for the podium was so restricted to Maverick Vinales, Jack Miller, Andrea Dovizioso and Fabio Quartararo. The Australian started really well putting his Ducati in second, but Vinales had more pace than him and after overtaking Fabio Quartararo, he made a move on Miller to take second place and creating a little gap that secured him a podium position for a while but it was not enough to avoid the recover of Dovizioso in the final stages.

Last podium position was initially a fight between Ducatis, with Andrea Dovizioso who had to face Jack Miller to take third place. The Italian with 9 laps remaining tried the attack on the Australian at turn 1 with a successful block pass where Miller could not do anything to replicate at it. Andrea tried even to close the gap on Maverick and was even able to do that, making a successful move on the Spaniard with 3 laps remaining. Vinales’ nightmare was not over as long as even Jack Miller closed the gap and made a decisive attack at turn 1 just at the last lap, with the Australian who got a fantastic podium.

Top 5 placement for Fabio Quartararo, with the French who was not able to repeat Misano’s performance and had to give up to Vinales and Ducatis, but still managed to get a really good result overall, followed by Cal Crutchlow and an astonishing Aleix Espargaro who did a great race being able to follow Yamahas and Ducatis in the first part of the race. Tough Sunday for Valentino Rossi, 8th at the end and never able to stay even close to the group fighting for top position.

Alex Rins finished 9th at the end of an hard race where he was involved in a contact with Franco Morbidelli at the start where the Italian crashed due to that; the Spaniard was even penalized with a long lap penalty but was still able to reach 9th place ahead of Takaaki Nakagami, who had to fight against Andrea Iannone, 11th at the end, and Danilo Petrucci, 12th. Miguel Oliveira finished in 13th while last points position were taken by Joan Mir and Tito Rabat.
