After being impressively fast during the test just after Silverstone, Fabio Quartararo keeps the pace showed during the two days of test making a really fast lap in the first session of free practice where he was almost four tenths of a second faster than everyone. French rookie was able to ride in 1.33.153 and seems to be a serious contender for top 3 on Sunday, but surely rivals will do everything to stop him.

Championship Leader Marc Marquez is ready to fight and he is fast from FP1 already ending on 2nd in 1.33.529 taking benefit from the work did during the tests, even if there is surely a lot of work to do in his box to improve the bike and being consistent on the race pace. Same story for Maverick Vinales, as long as the Spaniard finished in 3rd but he is alraedy satisfied with the bike working with the same set of tyres during the session.

4th time for Ducati Test Rider Michele Pirro who has some intersting parts to try for Italian Team helping the development of the bike; anyway, Michele showed us that he is even fast and could compete with MotoGP riders as usual being just half of a second slower than top performance. Italian rider is followed by Espargaro brothers, with Aleix who brought his Aprilia to a good 5th place ahead of Pol, who is ahead of Franco Morbidelli for just 37 thousandths of a second.

Home heroes Danilo Petrucci and Valentino Rossi are 8th and 9th, with number 46 who is first rider having one second of gap from FP1 leader, while Tito Rabat actually takes last top 10 place despite a little crash at the end of session ahead of another home hero who is Andrea Dovizioso, 11th. Out of top 10 for the moment also last GP winner, Alex Rins, who finished in 12 with over one second of gap from Quartararo.
