Jonathan Rea claims another victory at Donington Park being successful also in Superpole Race, with the Briton from Kawasaki winning the duel against poleman Tom Sykes. Race was stopped with 3 laps to go due to a problem suffered by Peter Hickman who lost oil on the track causing some crashes forcing Race Direction to stop the race.

Before that, reigning World Champion fought against Tom Sykes who started really well from pole position but was not able to keep Rea behind, with Kawasaki rider making decisive move at the chicane. Sykes tried then to stay close to Jonathan and it seemed to be that he could do it but then red flag.

Sykes lost podium also in a crazy ending; the Briton from BMW crashed after the red flag due to oil left on the track and was not able to bring the bike back to parc ferme and was then not classified on time sheet, with Leon Haslam taking at that point last podium position with Toprak Razgatlioglu 2^nd, with the Turkish who won the fight on track against Rea’s teammate. Alvaro Bautista finished 4^th so despite the Spaniard crossed the line in 5^th.
