#GBRWorldSBK | A superb Sykes gets another Superpole in Donington!
Thrillng qualifying at Donington Park with the Briton from BMW being the best rider on finding immediately the right confidence in an asphalt that was drying up minute after minute
Superpole session was a thrilling one in Donington Park as long as it started as a rain qualifying but the track has dried up during the session with SBK riders improving their lap times steadily minute after minute with some guys on slick tyres at the end.
In this scenario it was Tom Sykes getting the pole, with the Briton from BMW who gets another superpole in Donington with a stunning lap signing an impressive 1.27.619. Tom found immediately the right confidence with the track and was faster than almost a second than Jonathan Rea, second with a great chance in Race 1 as long as championship leader Alvaro Bautista will start from 6th.
Leon Haslam conquered first row being first rider over the 1.28 ahead of an incredible Peter Hickman who opens second row followed by Loris Baz, first Yamaha in the time sheet. Toprak Razgatlioglu saved his qualifying at the end thanks to a dry asphalt and managed to end in 7th, with Alex Lowes (crashed just at the start of Superpole) and Marco Melandri just behind him, while Chaz Davies closed top 10.
Michael Van Der Mark ended in 16th and out of 107% due to a wrong tyre choice; the Dutch went into the track in the last run with rain compounds not improving then his time.
