Matteo Nannini to make his F4 Italian Championship debut with Bhaitech Racing
It has now been confirmed that Matteo Nannini will be part of Bhaitech Racing's line-up in the Italian F4.
Matteo Nannini will make his official F4 Italian Championship with Bhaitech Racing, as the team announced earlier today.
The Italian team welcomed the Forlì-based driver into their junior programme back in 2018, to start a training stint to get F4-ready. Throughout the second half of the year, Nannini travelled around Italy and Europe to test and gather as much mileage as possible, in order to acquire more racing awareness on a single-seater. He also had the chance to measure and size-up his skills on a number of collective tests, against more experienced peers.
Under the supervision of renowned F1 engineer Luca Baldisserri, Nannini progressed with his preparation for his highly-anticipated F4 debut, where the drivers usually have 1 or 2 years of experience under their belt. Hence, Bhaitech Racing and Baldisserri opted for an intensive training method, namely the F4 UAE Championship. Bhaitech itself provided Nannini with a seat in the series with the Xcel Motorsport/Energy Dubai team, managed by Kevin Day. The Italian driver has now imposed himself as the championship leader after the first two events, and will be racing in the Emirates until early March, before entirely devoting himself on the Italian F4, kicking off on May 5th.
A very exciting season awaits Nannini, who is bound to make his debut in single-seater racing. “I’m very happy to be signing with Bhaitech. After nearly a year of training in their academy, this is a great reward for all the work I put in.”
