Qatar GP | Rossi is the fastest in FP1!
The Italian is followed by Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez; the first session of the year has been really close, as long as we have 17 riders in just 1 second!

Valentino Rossi opens MotoGP's first session of the year with a 1.55.048, being the fastest rider. The Itaian went with fresh tyres (medium-medium) during the last minutes of FP1 and he performed the best performance.
Jorge Lorenzo is just behind him, only 0.079s slower than Rossi, with same kind of tyres (medium-medium); his teammate, Marc Marquez, ended in 3rd but he did not use fresh compounds.
Andrea Dovizioso ended in 4th, just one tenth of a second slower than Valentino, followed by Danilo Petrucci; both Ducati rider used medium-medium tyres to get their laps.
In 6th we have Maverick Viñales, who appears really consistent in race pace, just two tenths of a second slower than his teammate with same compounds used from Marc Marquez (hard-medium).
Franco Morbidelli is 7th, really close to the Spaniard, with Jack Miller in 8th and Alex Rins 9th; all of three used medium-medium tyres to get their best laps.
Takaaki Nakagami closes top 10 with 1.55.496, just four tenths of a second slower than Rossi.
