The last days of testing in Qatar for Moto2 and Moto3 teams will be crucial for everyone to be fully prepared for the first race of the year.
In the day 1, Brad Binder was the fastest one for Moto2, being the only rider able to perform a lap under the two minutes. Sam Lowes, 2nd, is four tenths of a second slower than the Red Bull KTM Ajo guy.
Third place for Iker Lecuona, just 0.023s from Lowes, followed by Jorge Navarro and Alex Marquez.
In 6th we have Tom Luthi, who was 6 tenths of a second slower than the best performance; behind him Xavi Vierge and Augusto Fernandez.
Jerez's test leader Luca Marini is 9th, while Marcel Schrotter closes the top 10.
First rookie is Nicolo Bulega, 12th, with Jorge Martin 14th.
On Moto3 side, Tony Arbolino confirms the pace showed in previous tests and tops the first day with 2.07.753.
The Snipers Team rider is followed by his teammate Romano Fenati, who was just just one tenth of a second slower.
In third we have another Italian, Lorenzo Dalla Porta, first rider over the 2.07, behind him we have Marcos Ramirez, the other Leopard Racing guy.
Kaito Toba ended the day with a positive 5th combined place, while Niccolò Antonelli is 6th.
7th place for another Japanese rider, Ai Ogura; the rookie from Honda Team Asia was one second slower than the best lap, followed by another rookie, Alonso Lopez.
Top 10 is closed by Kazuki Masaki and Gabriel Rodrigo.
