Marquez fastest in FP4 as the rain pours in Malaysia
In the final practice session of the weekend, Marc Marquez topped the time sheets in front of Maverick Vinales and Andrea Dovizioso.
Marc Marquez finished quickest in FP4 as the rain comes down in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit.
As the rain came down with 15 minutes to go, Maverick Vinales, Jordi Torres and Karel Abraham all crashed as the rain caught them out on slick tyres.
Despite crashing, Vinales finished second place +0.109 behind Marquez with Andrea Dovizioso in third place.
Johann Zarco finished fourth place on the Tech 3 Yamaha.
Alex Rins heads the two Suzuki’s in fifth place and his teammate Andrea Iannone finished just behind in sixth place.
Valentino Rossi finished in seventh place +0.543 behind the fastest time.
Aleix Espargaro finished eighth on his Aprilia and Dani Pedrosa finished behind in ninth place.
Danilo Petrucci rounds out the top 10 for the last practice session of the weekend.
Franco Morbidelli finished the session in P11.
Replacement rider for Jorge Lorenzo, Michele Pirro finished the session in 12th place and +1.192 behind the quickest time.
The other replacement rider Stefan Bradl finished 14th with home favourite Hafizh Syahrin finished just behind in 15th.
