Thai GP | Ducati on top ahead of qualifying
Dovizioso topped today’s FP3 session, in the final moments on track deciding who would go to each qualifying session. Miller finished 2nd, with Viñales following closely in 3rd.
In the final moments of the deciding session, Dovizioso led the way, setting a time of 1:30:399. Miller followed closely in 2nd, with a time of 1:30:566. Viñales placed 3rd in the session, setting a time of 1:30:647.
Top Honda for this FP1 session was Crutchlow in 4th position, setting a time of 1:30:719. Pedrosa, who has been consistently fast this weekend, placed 6th, with a time of 1:30:818. Marquez, after a late spill in the final moments of the session, placed 11th, with a time of 1:31:079, meaning he will have to compete for a place in Q2 via Q1.
Top Ducati for this session was Dovizioso in 1st. Miller impressed in FP3, placing 2nd. Petrucci placed 5th, with a time of 1:30:727. Lorenzo has withdrawn from this weekend’s proceedings due to an injury sustained to his wrist in yesterday’s FP2 session.
Yamaha, who started strong in yesterday’s sessions, found themselves in 3rd position, with Viñales. Rossi appeared to be trying a number of different set ups during this crucial FP3 session, he set a time of 1:30:859 placing him 7th. Zarco placed 9th, with a time of 1:30:979.
Top Suzuki, was Iannone, in 8th position, with a time of 1:30:881. Rins placed 16th with a time of 1:31:209.
Top Aprilia for this morning FP1 session, was A. Espargaro, with a time of 1:31:187, in 15th position. Redding placed 21st with a time of 1:32:028.
Top KTM was Smith, placing 13th with a time of 1:31:118. P. Espargaro, placed 14th with a time of 1:31:169.
Top Rookie for this session, was Morbidelli, who placed 12th, with a time of 1:31:117.
