Jorge Lorenzo will attempt to race at the Thailand Grand Prix after injuring his foot in the big crash he suffered at turn one at the Aragon Grand Prix last weekend.

The Spaniard dislocated his toe and fractured the second metatarsal on his right foot after the massive highside he had at the first turn at Aragon.

Lorenzo looked in doubt to come back for the next round at The Chang International Circuit for the Thailand Grand Prix after it was revealed that he still had a considerable amount of swelling in his foot when he visited the doctors in Barcelona on Monday.

Yesterday, Lorenzo had another medical check-up in Barcelona. His foot is still swollen and inflamed but the Ducati rider has said that he will test his ability to ride on the weekend of the Grand Prix.

Lorenzo added that he will not race or risk any further injuries if he feels too much pain on the bike.

After the Aragon GP, Lorenzo came out and said that it was his future Honda team-mate Marc Marquez’ fault for the crash. Lorenzo stated that the reigning World Champion was too aggressive when trying to overtake at the first corner.

Lorenzo is currently fourth in the world championship standings with a total of 130 points, the same as Yamaha rider Maverick Vinales.
