Aragon GP | Marquez remains quickest after FP3
Marquez tops FP3 at Motorland Aragon, followed by Crutchlow and Miller, whilst no Yamaha has a direct path into Q2.
After finishing Friday on top, Marquez carried his momentum forward, setting the fastest time of FP3, with a 1:47:382. Crutchlow set a time of 1:47:393, placing him 2nd, whilst Miller led the Ducati charge from 3rd place, with a time of 1:47:413.
Top Ducati for the session was Miller in 3rd. Closely followed by Lorenzo in 4th, with a time of 1:47:520. Dovizioso finished FP3 in 5th position after setting a time of 1:47:575. Petrucci set a time of 1:47:746, placing him 8th. Bautista scored himself a place in Q2, placing 9th in FP3, with a time of 1:47:891.
Honda filled the Top 2 spots of FP3, with Marquez topping the session, and Crutchlow in 2nd. Pedrosa placed 7th with a time of 1:47:629, which means he will head directly through to Q2.
The top Suzuki for FP3 was Iannone in 6th place, with a time of 1:47:604. Rins completed the top 10, stealing the final spot through to Q2, with a time of 1:48:051.
Yamaha did not secure a direct spot to Q2 with any of their riders. Viñales placed 11th with a time of 1:48:087. Zarco set a time of 1:48:154, placing him 14th. A small crash at the end of the session meant that Rossi did not get an opportunity to improve him time, he placed 18th with a time of 1:48:905.
KTM had a mixed session, as Smith set a time of 1:48:096, which placed him 12th. After a crash P. Espargaro was taken to the medical centre, however he finished the session in 19th with a time of 1:48:850.
Top Aprillia for FP3 was A. Espargaro with a time of 1:48:397 placing him 15th. Redding placed 22nd, setting a time of 1:49:421.
Top Rookie was Morbidelli who placed 13th, after setting a time of 1:48:129.
With riders such as Rossi, Viñales, Morbidelli and Smith all going through Q1, it is set to be thriller. Each rider will look to improve their time for Qualifying. Can Marquez hold the top spot?
