British GP | Dovizioso keeps his lead from yesterday's combined times as home hero Crutchlow goes fastest in FP3

Damp condition at Silverstone meant riders could no more go faster than the yesterday's combined times, in top ten Yamaha of Rossi only able to improve its yesterdays's time by a small margin, Petrucci was the only to rider to make an impact to get into top ten pushing Bautista into Q1.

Session started with clouds covering most of the sky, there were some damp patches on the track from rain in preceding session.

Damp conditions hampered the hopes of teams going any faster than yesterday’s combined time.

It wasn’t until under seven minutes left in the session we saw first recognizable improvement, Danilo Petrucci went faster than his yesterday’s combined time, the only rider to improve into top ten, he went Tenth faster to slip Alvaro Bautista to Eleventh

Considering the sole timings of the FP3, Cal Crutchlow was fastest rider on the track with a time of 2’01.866 coming on his Fifteenth lap. He was just 0.027 faster than Ducati of Danilo Petrucci who able to get into top ten with combined times.

Jack miller being further a tenth behind Petrucci and 0.029 ahead of Johann Zarco while Maverick Vinales who look strong for most the session completed the top five

Valentino Rossi who on his very last run coming through the traffic able to improve on his yesterday’s fast time but he remained eighth fastest overall but sixth fastest in the session.

Rookie Franco Morbidelli looked strong as well with a Seventh fastest time for FP3 session and a Eleventh fastest combined time.

Andrea Dovizioso who whose fastest overall only managed Eighth fastest time for the session ahead of Marc Marquez and Bradly Smith who completed the top ten.

Crashes

With twenty five minutes remaining in the session Nakagami lost the bike at turn 12, exactly the same spot where Tito Rabat lost the bike yesterday. In last minutes Alvaro Bautista lost his bike at the same corner. In last seconds of the session Nakagami again lost the bike but this time at turn Fourteen.
