Pol Espargaro tops Warm Up ahead of today’s Pramac Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland.

Yesterday’s qualifying session saw ‘King of the Ring’ Marc Marquez storm to his 9th pole position at Sachsenring. Danilo Petrucci had been on provisional pole position until Marquez took the top spot in the dying seconds of the session. Petrucci starts from 2nd on the grid, for the 2nd successive year at the #GermanGP. In 3rd position is Jorge Lorenzo, who has never won at Sachsenring before, he has equalled his best qualifying position at this track. Maverick Viñales heads the 2nd row, as the highest placed Yamaha. Andrea Dovizioso qualified 5th, after passing through Q1, this is his best qualifying at Sachsenring since he was 4th in 2010. Yesterday’s qualifying session saw 0.668s cover the Top 12 riders.

Pol Espargaro topped the warm up session with a time of 1:21:230. Marc Marquez followed closely in 2nd with a time of 1:21:397. Andrea Dovizioso rounded out the top 3 with a time of 1:21:463.

Top Yamaha was Valentino Rossi in 9th, setting a time of 1:21:577. Maverick Viñales set a time of 1:21:614, placing him 9th.  Hafizh Syahrin placed 15th with a time of 1:22:100. Johann Zarco placed 18th, with a time of 1:22:192.

Top Suzuki was Andrea Iannone in 6th with a time of 1:21:563. Alex Rins set a time of 1:21:878 placing him 12th.

Top Honda was Marc Marquez in 2nd. Dani Pedrosa set a time of 1:21:868 placing him 11th. Takaaki Nakagami was the fastest of the non-factory option Hondas, placing 10th with a time of 1:21:847.

Top KTM was Pol Espargaro, who topped the session. Bradley Smith set a time of 1:21:970 placing him 13th.

Top Ducati was Andrea Dovizioso, who finished this morning’s warm up in 3rd. Jorge Lorenzo placed 7th with a time 1:21:567.  Jack Miller managed to set a time of 1:22:190 which placed him 17th. Danilo Petrucci placed 22nd with a time of 1:22:526. Alvaro Bautista finished this morning’s warm up in 4th, setting a time of 1:21:529.

Top Aprilia was Aleix Espargaro setting a time of 1:21:546, despite a crash in which his bike burst the air fence, red flagging the session, he placed 5th.  Scott Redding set a time of 1:21:999 placing him 14th.

Top Rookie was Takaaki Nakagami in 10th position with a time of 1:21:847.

The weather for the German Grand Prix looks to remain sunny, with some cloud cover throughout the day and highs of 23ºC.
