Yesterday’s qualifying session had everyone’s blood pumping, 11 riders within 0.501s. Marquez clinched his 75^th Grand Prix career pole position, his first pole position of the 2018 season after being penalised at the Grand Prix of the Americas. Cal Crutchlow starts from 2^nd on the grid, as top independent team rider, for the 2^nd time this season. In 3^rd position is Valentino Rossi, who has won at Assen 10 times before, including 2017 which was Yamaha’s last race win. Andrea Dovizoso heads the 2^nd row, as the highest placed Ducati. Alex Rins qualified 5^th, equalling his best ever qualifying result.

Marquez topped the warm up session with a time of 1:33:939. Dovizioso followed closely in 2^nd with a time of 1:34:181. Viñales rounded out the top 3 with a time of 1:34:371.

Top Yamaha was Viñales in 3^rd. Rossi set a time of 1:34:659 placing him 9^th.  Zarco placed 13^th with a time of 1:34:760.

Top Suzuki was Iannone in 4th with a time of 1:34:407. Rins set a time of 1:34:761 placing him 14^th.

Top Honda was Marquez topping the session. Pedrosa set a time of 1:35:090 placing him 18^th. Nakagami was the fastest of the non-factory option Hondas, placing 12^th with a time of 1:34:760.

Top KTM was Pol Espargaro with a time of 1:34:534 placing him 6^th.  Smith set a time of 1:34:777 placing him 15^th.

Top Ducati was Doviziozo, who finished this morning’s warm up in 2^nd. Lorenzo placed 5^th with a time 1:34:475. Petrucci managed to set a time of 1:34:599, which placed him 7^th. Miller placed 11th with a time of 1:34:740.

Top Aprilia was Aleix Espargaro setting a time of 1:34:783 placing him 16^th. Redding set a time of 1:35:108 placing him 19^th.

Top Rookie was Nakagami in 12^th position with a time of 1:34:760

The weather for the Dutch Grand Prix looks to remain sunny, little/no cloud cover and highs of 25ºC.
