French GP: Warm Up Results
Marc Marquez tops Warm Up Practise ahead of today’s HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France.
Johann Zarco will start from pole position for today’s race, smashing the pole record to become the first Frenchman to since Christian Sarron to secure pole position in France. Lining up alongside Zarco in 2nd position will be Marquez, the current championship leader tried everything he could to snatch pole position from home hero Zarco, but his best efforts weren’t good enough. Petrucci will start 3rd, having gone through Q1, and he is also the highest placed Ducati. Syahrin will start from 14th position, making him Top Rookie in qualifying for the #FrenchGP.
Marc Marquez lead the field in Warm Up this morning with a time of 1:31:868. With Dovizioso in 2nd, setting a time of 1:32:320, making him the highest placed Ducati, as he starts his race from 5th position. Suzuki hero, Iannone closely follows in 3rd, with a time of 1:32:384. Top Rookie in morning warm up was Franco Morbidelli, who set time of 1:33:102, placing him 13th.
The highest placed Yamaha in morning warm up was Valentino Rossi in 5th position. The Yamaha’s of Viñales and Zarco finished Warm Up 9th and 10th, with some improvements to be made before this afternoon’s race.
The forecast for the race looks to be sunny with no cloud cover, and highs of 22ºC.
