FP4: Suzuki tops, Marquez looks strong for Pole

Suzuki topped the session , Marquez crashed as he looks favorite for the pole position

Session was a strong one for Suzuki as Iannone and Rins were 1st and 2nd, taking advantage of Marquez crash earlier. Marquez finished 3rd as he didn’t have the best session as he would have liked it.

Crutchlow looking strong as last session was 5th while improving Pedrosa ended the session 4th.

After having a troubled FP3 Dovizioso looked in a better shape with 6th fastest time. Rabat ,Petrucci, Vinales were 7th ,8th 9th fastest respectively, Espargaro completed the top 10. Valentino Rossi only managed 14th fastest time.

FP4 at Jerez started as every normal other free practice session of the weekend. With 10 minutes into the session, Marquez after setting the fastest lap crashed at turn 2 but biked suffered no damage.

With increase in temperature for the session, in FP4 most of the teams were trying hard tires, even in his Marquez used hard front and rear. Yamaha of Vinales on same compounds was almost a second down on him. Later in the session Rossi and Cructchlow used the same combination of hard rear and front.

Indicator was that the tires teams are looking for the race is Hard rear and Medium front.

Iannone, who’s currently fighting for his seat at Suzuki, continued his good form and impressed with some good times and beat the benchmark set by Marquez earlier in the session.
