Monster Energy Yamaha’s Viñales topped the timesheets with a time of 1:47.771, ahead of Petronas Yamaha SRT’s Quartararo in 2^nd and Morbidelli in 3^rd. Yamaha have shown some impressive form over the timed sessions throughout the last few race weekend’s, however can they convert this to race pace at the #AragonGP?

Team Suzuki ECSTAR’s Mir placed himself 4^th on the opening day, as he sits 2^nd in the championship, this is a positive start to the weekend. Britain’s Crutchlow placed 5^th, still carrying injuries from earlier this season, whilst A. Espargaro placed 6^th.

1. Espargaro lead the KTM charge throughout the opening sessions, as he placed 7^th. Repsol Honda’s A. Marquez impressed with his maiden podium at Le Mans, and he has carried this momentum to the #AragonGP, placing 8^th on the opening day. Nakagami placed 9^th, just 0.001s off of Marquez’ time. Rins rounded out the top 10 on the opening day.

Esponsorama Racing’s duo, Zarco and Rabat placed 11^th and 12^th respectively, showing incredible pace for the team ahead of qualifying.

Dovizioso, Miller, Petrucci, Bagnaia and Binder find themselves at risk of having to compete through the Q1 session, can they improve their times over tomorrow morning’s FP3 session?
