MotoGP | SanMarinoGP | Rossi Leads Ahead of Qualifying
Home hero, Rossi topped the timesheets ahead of this afternoon’s qualifying session, followed by Yamaha compatriots Viñales and championship lead Quartararo.
Home hero, Rossi topped the time sheets with a time of 1:31.861. Viñales placed 2nd, setting a lap time of 1:31.936, whilst Quartararo made it an all Yamaha top 3, setting a time of 1:31.961.
Pramac Racing’s Miller placed 4th, despite a small crash in the closing minutes of the FP3 session. Team SUZUKI ECSTAR’s Rins and Mir placed 5th and 6th, respectively. Bagnaia, who returns from injury, secured his place in Q2, by placing 7th. Both Pramac Racing and Team SUZUKI ECSTAR vastly improving their pace from yesterday’s sessions.
Zarco managed to place 8th overall ahead of this afternoon’s qualifying sesson, continuing his strong form. Morbidelli placed 9th, ensuring that all 4 Yamahas would take a place in Q2. Dovizioso stole the last spot in the Q2 session, placing 10th.
Following on from previous injury and surgery, Crutchlow has been declared unfit to take further part in this weekend’s #SanMarinoGP.
