The following three weeks are going to be a lot interesting for MotoGP as riders will face three races in a row, starting from Brno for Czech GP. Fabio Quartararo is the actual championship leader and led also Thursday’s press conference, alongside Maverick Vinales, Andrea Dovizioso, Valentino Rossi, Takaaki Nakagami and Joan Mir.

Surely one of the main topic is the absence of Marc Marquez, which gives new scenarios for the others competing for the title, but there was also space to talk a bit about Sergio Perez, the F1 Racing Point rider tested positive to Coronavirus who missed British GP the previous week.

Starting from Fabio Quartararo, this is what they said: “Jerez’s GPs were really fine for us, our bike worked well there. Probably Brno will be more tough for us, but we will work as usual. I did not make some kind of party when I came back home, I stayed at home. I was worried after hearing the news about Sergio Perez tested positive to Coronavirus”

Maverick Vinales has faith about this weekend: “Our goal was to start with podiums and we were able to do it. Brno and Spielberg are two tracks that I like, we will have to stay focus during this races giving the maximum. We are conscious to have a good potential, we will try to be fast as we were in Jerez”

Andrea Dovizioso follows them: “We scored important points in Jerez, but we are not too happy with what we did there. Brno could be a good track for us, but we should work on our weak points. We should pay attention to the conditions of the track also, starting from the tires. Looking at the championship, everyone has an opportunity, but every year is a different story”

Valentino Rossi came back to the podium during Andalucia GP: “During the second Jerez we made some changes that worked well and I enjoyed riding the M1. I like Brno, but in the past we struggled a bit, it will be important to understand our potential. I am not thinking about my 200th podium, I am here because I love racing”

Takaaki Nakagami scored a best career result two weeks ago finishing 4th: “In Jerez it was really hard to manage the heat. We are improving, but every circuit has a different story: we must think race per race, working a lot as usual. I had the chance to have a look to Marc Marquez’s data: his braking style is not easy to replicate, but he helped me during the first two races of the season”

Joan Mir aims for a good result at Brno: “We finished 5th the second race of the season, it was important to score points after what happened the previous week. We should improve our qualifying to start ahead. I do not have good memories here (remembering the injury he had last year in Brno), but I like the track: we will try to get a good result on Sunday”
