MotoGP | Andalucia GP | Quartararo again on pole as Vinales got penalized and Marc Marquez is OUT for Jerez 2

It was a thrilling MotoGP qualifying session where Fabio Quartararo got pole again thanks to Maverick Vinales’ mistake on his last lap where he was able to snatch the best time. Marc Marquez tried to make the session but he gave up and he will not racing tomorrow

Same circuit but even more emotions! MotoGP gave a fantastic show during qualifying sessions for a lot of reason, starting from Marc Marquez who tried everything to make a lap but he had to gave up as he was suffering too much.

Honda and Marc decided then to not take part at the Andalucia GP with Marquez who will miss the second round of the season, while Alex Rins did not take part at qualifying and probably could miss the Grand Prix as well. Cal Crutchlow, who is injured as well, was able to make Q1 and was even close to get a Q2 access.

It was a thrilling Q1 as Franco Morbidelli, Miguel Oliveira and Andrea Dovizioso took part at that over Cal Crutchlow. At the end, we had immediately big surprises as Andrea Dovizioso missed Q2: Miguel Oliveira and Franco Morbidelli were faster, but also Cal Crutchlow and the Italian has so to start from 14th on the grid.

 

Fabio Quartararo and Maverick Vinales fought then for the pole position, with the two guys who were the fastest on track. The Spaniard made a stunning pole position during his last shot, but went over track limits and his lap time was canceled due to that, giving to Quartararo another pole position, the second one of the season after the one obtained just 7 days ago.

Francesco Bagnaia joined them in first row, putting his Pramac Ducati in 3rd with a superb qualifying, while Valentino Rossi is having a totally different weekend compared to last one as he will start from 4th. Miguel Oliveira put his KTM in 5th ahead of Franco Morbidelli, while Jack Miller is 7th Takaaki Nakagami and Brad Binder complete third row, while Mir, Petrucci and Pol Espargaro (crashed) are in fourth row.
