The first race of MotoGP season was surely a really entertaining one, the fans had a fantastic show to watch as we had a lot of surprises. Fabio Quartararo finally made it: the French won his first MotoGP Grand Prix after a stunning pole position, winning with a lot of margin on Maverick Vinales, but we should have a look at the start to have a proper race history.

Maverick Vinales had the better start alongside Marc Marquez and both went into the lead in the first part of the race, with the actual World Champion who overtook his compatriot to make the rhythm. With just laps done, Marquez made his first mistake but he actually was able to save another crash finishing really wide into the gravel.

Honda HRC rider joined the track in 16th and started his mega comeback from behind, while Fabio Quartararo struggled with Ducatis. The French did not start really well from pole position and lost several positions finishing 5th, but Fabio was patient and waited the best moment to make a proper attack to his rivals.

With Marquez behind, Quartararo put himself into 2nd and after a while took benefit from a mistake made by Vinales who went wide at turn 13 letting Fabio through. That was the decisive moment for the win as Quartararo started to create a consistent gap on the others having a good margin.

Meanwhile, Marquez made a lot of overtakes and came back into the fight for the podium, with Andrea Dovizioso, Franco Morbidelli, Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller fighting for a podium spot too. Finally Marc arrived close to Vinales to make a 2nd place overtake, but the Spaniard made another mistake and this time fell down really hard.

The World Champion has been immediately taken out and will probably go to the medical center for a check, but it looked like Marquez was having pain and could have injured himself. The four guys behind him started so to fight for the podium and it was Andrea Dovizioso who won the battle to secure a 3rd place spot.

Vinales ended in 2nd with a good margin, while his teammate Valentino Rossi had to retire due to technical problem. Joan Mir and Aleix Espargaro crashed during the race, while Cal Crutchlow did not even take part at that as he was declare unfit after Warm Up’s crash.

Jack Miller finished in 4th, ahead of Franco Morbidelli, Pol Espargaro and Francesco Bagnaia. Miguel Oliveira conquered consistent points in 8th, followed by Danilo Petrucci, Takaaki Nakagami and Johann Zarco. Alex Marquez ended in 12th, with Brad Binder, Tito Rabat and Bradley Smith who conquered championship points.
