#MotoGP, Catalunya suspended with date to be defined
MotoGP calendar changes again with another suspension as long as Catalan GP cannot host World Championship on June due to ongoing Coronavirus crisis
Just a few days after the announcement of the postponement of French GP at Le Mans, today comes another statement that changes 2020 MotoGP Calendar once again. Catalan GP was planned to see riders in action on the first week of June but ongoing Coronavirus crisis forced organizers to postpone also that Grand Prix, with high chances that Italian GP at Mugello will release an identical statement in the next days.
Nowadays we do not know if it is going to be a cancellation or a suspension, but surely the hopes are on having the race during the year: “We did not decide anything about event’s cancellation – said Catalan sports’ general Gerard Figueras – we cannot host the Grand Prix on planned date, we hope to have another one on the Calendar”
It is not easy to say if there is any chance to having back Catalan GP this season, the races postponed are already fours with Mugello that has high chances to be the next one. Thinking about racing in May is almost impossible at the moment. Chances to have a 2020 shortened calendar are higher than never.
