#JerezTest, Alex Marquez: “Positive feelings”
Alex Marquez was one rider to watch in Jerez after the announcement of him joining Honda HRC to partner his brother next year; Moto2 World Champion did a good job and he is positive about the future
Alex Marquez had more than an eye on him and it is pretty much obvious considering that he will be next Marc Marquez’s teammate and that he will replace Jorge Lorenzo next year, surely not an easy job for him. A lot of people are skeptical about him to be fast during the next championship but Alex wants to prove them all wrong.
At the end of Jerez’s tests, Moto2 World Champion ended with 17th time, with his job stopped due to rain, but Marquez Jr could try the bike on wet conditions even if was not planned and everyone was hoping for a dry day to get the best confidence and feeling for his new adventure in MotoGP where he will be rookie next season.
This is what he said: “Weather was not that good, not an easy one. During the morning we did a step forward and we improved our time with used tyres. When we try to make a lap with fresh ones it started to rain, it was a shame. Anyway, we tried the bike on wet and I have good feelings, I am happy of this second day of test in Jerez even if there is still a lot of work to do. But now I know what to do at home to be ready for Sepang”
