#JerezTest, Yamaha again on top with Vinales during Day 1
After being the fastest guy in Valencia, Maverick Vinales topped the time sheet also in Jerez in the first day of testing in Spain after the holidays ahead of Fabio Quartararo
Maverick Vinales kept the job done in Valencia just one week ago after race weekend and topped one again time sheet in the first day of test in Jerez, where the Spaniard made an impressive lap to get the first position. “Top Gun” was really close on going under the 1.37 but rode in 1.37.131, seven tenths of a second faster than everyone.
First rider to follow him is indeed Fabio Quartararo who has a big gap on Day 1 leader, with the French who showed his pace in the circuit where his season started to shine as long as he conquered his first pole position just in Spain this season. Fabio is followed by Joan Mir, 3rd ahead of his teammate Alex Rins, while Franco Morbidelli closes top5 and he is last rider having under one second of gap on Vinales.
World Champion Marc Marquez had something to try and finished 6th, while his brother, Alex Marquez, was a bit more far in 17th. Marc ended ahead of Cal Crutchlow and Pol Espargaro, with the two Factory Ducatis of Danilo Petrucci and Andrea Dovizioso who close top 10, while Jack Miller is 11th. Aleix Espargaro got 12th fastest time followed by his teammate Andrea Iannone and Valentino Rossi, 14th at the end.
