#MotoGP, Simone Corsi joins MV Augusta Forward for 2020 Moto2 Season
The Italian lost his seat in the middle of the season with Mattia Pasini who replaced him but from next year Simone will have another chance to shine in the intermediate class with MV Augusta Forward alongside Stefano Manzi
MV Augusta Forward made his choice for 2020 Moto2 season. With Stefano Manzi confirmed for next year, in this days the team had to decide his future teammate and the choice was to build a complete Italian crew as long as Simone Corsi accepted to join Forward. The Italian lost his seat in Tasca Racing in the middle of the season this year, but still managed to find a spot for himself for 2020 signing a one year deal.
That means Dominique Aegerter will race for the last time for Forward in Valencia and will not stay with Cuzari’s crew for 2020. Also Dimas Ekky Pratama was looking for that seat and seemed to be next Stefano Manzi’s teammate. Indeed, the Indonesian rider was not able to renew his contract with Honda Team Asia and the choice was then Simone Corsi for the next Championship.
Corsi is of course really happy: “I am happy to be back in 2020 and I am so proud to do it with a brand like MV Augusta. I would like to thank Giovanni Cuzari and the whole staff for the faith in me and I hope to bring some good results to see MV on top. I saw that in the last races they develop a lot, Manzi did good races and I am motivated for this new challenge”
