Iker Lecuona had a really busy month, starting from the official statement where he was announced to be a MotoGP rider for KTM Tech 3 next year. A fantastic news for the Spaniard who saw his big dream becoming true, but Iker will have his chance to shine from Valencia already, as long as Miguel Oliveira could not take part to the last GP of the season. The Portoguese had indeed to go under surgery to his right shoulder and will not be fit to race in Valencia, so the Team had to find a replacement and thought that putting Lecuona on that seat already could be a good thing to help him on taking confidence as soon as possible.

The Spaniard will make so his debut in the top class at the age of only 19, while his Moto2 seat will be taken by Sean Dylan Kelly, Supersport MotoAmerica rider. Of course Lecuona could not be more happy than this, even if he is a bit disappointed for Oliveira's injury as long as this is surely not the way in which he wanted to make his debut in MotoGP.

These are his words: "Having this opportunity in my home Grand Prix makes me really proud. We must have fun from this experience but especially learning a lot for the future. Without the help of Hervé Poncharal, Eitan Butbulthis and the whole Amreican Racing Team could not be possible as long as they helped me on growing up in the Championship as a rider and as a person. I wish a speedy recover to Miguel, my future teammate for the next season. I will try to do my best in Valencia, as I always do!"
