Maverick Vinales redeems himself after an unlucky race in Australia seven days ago and comes back to victory winning his second race of the season after being successful in Assen! The Spaniard dominated from the start where he took the lead and made an impressive rhythm being uncatchable for everyone to take a stunning win who surely needed for his moral! MotoGP race in Sepang did not disappoint us overall and gave a good show to watch as usual in a race where we saw many battles and a lot of overtakes.

It was Jack Miller who tried to jump into the lead with a fantastic start where Franco Morbidelli was probably the best one, but the Australian took benefit from his engine to take first position, while Andrea Dovizioso an Marc Marquez made a super start from 10th and 11th on the grid being immediately in top 5 positions. Meanwhile, Maverick Vinales did not lose any time and tried a decisive move on Jack Miller to lead the race, with the Spaniard who tried to create a consistent gap from the first lap.

Maverick actually did it even because Marc Marquez engaged a battle against Jack Miller and Andrea Dovizioso for 2nd, with the Australian who resisted a lot forcing World Champion to lose a lot of time; the Spaniard from Honda HRC only managed to overtake Ducati Pramac rider during third lap at turn 14 being able to run away from him but Vinales was already too far away. After just one lap, Andrea Dovizioso made his move on Miller too, while Valentino Rossi had to fight a little bit more but snatched a temporary 4th position in the 7th lap.

First row starter Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli struggled a lot, an unexpected result considering how fast they both were during Friday and Saturday, with both who lost a lot of time and fought for 6th and 7th position without being able to close the gap on top position and even fight for podium position. Also Jack Miller had hard times as long as started to lose position lap after lap ending on fighting aganst Johann Zarco and Danilo Petrucci.

Anyway, last podium position was a battle between Andrea Dovizioso, Valentino Rossi and Alex Rins, with Yamaha rider who searched a spot to overtake his compatriot a lot of times during the race, but Ducati rider was good enough to resist and stay on 3rd; meanwhile, Rins joined them and tried to take third position, but was never really able to try a move on the Italians. Valentino Rossi tried again during last laps but had to give up at the end to Andrea Dovizioso who took last podium position, while Maverick Vinales won the race ahead of Marc Marquez.

Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli had a battle, with the Italian who finished 6th ahead of his teammate, while Jack Miller ended 8th followed by Danilo Petrucci and Joan Mir, who received a long lap penalty due to a contact with Johann Zarco where the Spaniard touched the French making him crash. Last podium position were taken by Pol Espargaro, Francesco Bagnaia, Aleix Espargaro, Jorge Lorenzo and Mika Kallio.
