Moto2 race was not probably the most funny one, but surely had a lot of tension on the line as long as Alex Marquez had the big chance to win his second career World Title, first one in intermediate class at the end of a race where the Spaniard had to manage everything at perfection. Marc VDS rider started from pole position but it was Brad Binder who took the lead from early stages, with the Sudafrican who created a gap from beginning to keep the Championship alive. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Jorge Martin tried to stay close to top positions from the start but ended both on crashing in early stage of the race, a real shame considering that both probably had the pace to fight for the podium.

Alex Marquez had anyway a consistent gap on the others, with Tom Luthi who had to fight a bit against Nagashima for third position, but in the second part of the race the Swiss was able to run away from the Japanese and tried to catch new Moto2 World Champion to keep his Title chances alive. Meanwhile, Brad Binder had a big moment going wide at turn 14 letting Marquez through, but KTM rider had the pace to close the gap quickly and overtook Alex after few laps and did not give any chance to the others from that moment.

Positions did not change until the end, with Brad Binder who wins again but it is not enough to keep the Championship alive as long as Alex Marquez crossed the line in 2^nd to secure his World Title ahead of Tom Luthi, who could not do anything to stop his rival from the Championship. Xavi Vierge, who engaged a battle against the Swiss in the first part of the race, finished in 4^th ahead of Jorge Navarro, who was followed by Iker Lecuona, Lorenzo Baldassarri and Tetsuta Nagashima. Marcel Schrotter ended in 9^th with Luca Marini 10^th, while last points position were taken by Augusto Fernandez, Nicolò Bulega, Mattia Pasini, Remy Gardner and Dominique Aegerter.
