#JapaneseGP | MotoGP guys expressed their feelings in Press Conference
Marc Marquez conquered the Title already but there are still 4 races on the line starting from Japan with MotoGP riders ready to give us a fantastic show and some big prizes still to be assigned!
Championship is over but surely not the action on track, with MotoGP riders ready to make a good show in the last 4 races, starting from Motegi in Japan. There are also big prizes on the line, with second place in Standings still to be assigned.
First one to talk was World Champion Marc Marquez, who will give everything despite the World Title conquered yet, even because there are a lot of records still to break: “Celebrating in Buriram with the whole crew it was amazing, and also with my family and friends when I came back to Spain. I did not forget anyway to prepare last races, but it is quite different, I cannot lie. We are working on 2020 in a different way. Dovi will be fast also this year, but also Fabio, Vinales and Rins will”
Andrea Dovizioso then tried to analize the situation hoping to get a good result in Japan where he won in 2017: “We worked a lot in Thailand but we were not fast enough. I did not have the opportunity to fight for the podium and it was a shame. We have to be more competitive in the middle of the corner, we suffer a lack of speed. I expect to be fast in Japan, our bike is working well, we can get a good result”
He was really close to winning again in Buriram, but Fabio Quartararo had to give up at the last lap; French rookie wants his revenge: “I heard many times that a track did not go well with Yamaha but every time we managed the situation in a good way. I never looked to a circuit as good or bad for our bike, but I always tried to give the maximum. Our goal at the start of the year was winning the Rookie of the Year, we will try to bring that Title this weekend. The most important thing will be anyway fighting with top riders”
It is a positive period for Maverick Vinales, with the Spaniard who finished on the podium in Buriram and wants to repeat that result: “On paper Japan is not easy for us, but I have good feelings after Thailand. We want to fight for the podium and give everything. My relationship with new crew chief is fantastic, there is a good feeling and a nice atmosphere inside the team”
Last races were not so positive for Alex Rins, but Suzuki rider is ready to redeem himself in Japan where he wants to come back to the podium: “I expect to be more competitive in this races. We are fighting for 3rd place in the Championship against Vinales and Petrucci. Last grand prix were not easy; now we will race in Suzuki’s home, let’s see what happens”
Home hero Takaaki Nakagami wants to shine in his country ahead of his fans before going under surgery: “It was really nice to renew my relationship with LCR, I am grateful. Bad thing is the injury I had in Assen, but I never said anything until Aragon, where I decided to talk with Lucio Cecchinello. I was feeling pain to the shoulder and race after race I was losing strength. It is quite hard to finish the races now, I am not sure to do good things here in Motegi, so I decided that going under surgery was the best thing to do. It is a shame to lose last races but I have to be ready for the next season”
