Rain was the main risk for Saturday problem but at the end sun came up to shine Red Bull Ring giving the chance to any rider to improve their lap time. It was Tony Arbolino the fastest rider so far, being the only guy able to ride under the 1.36, smashing also Moto3 record track. Snipers rider did his best time during his last attempt, putting his bike ahead of everyone.
Jaume Masia is 2nd with almost three tenths of a second of gap, with Spaniard rider followed by John McPhee, who led the session for a lot thanks to a great lap time during early stages of the FP3. Lorenzo Dalla Porta is 4th ahead of his teammate Marcos Ramirez, while Niccolò Antonelli is just behind them.
Just 57 thousandths of a second separate the Italian from Ai Ogura, 8th, with the Japanese who will be penalized with 12 grid position, but for the moment is qualified for Q2 and Celestino Vietti, FP2 leader, follows him. Kaito Toba and championship leader Aron Canet close top 10, while Makar Yurchenko, Ayumu Sasaki, Raul Fernandez and Tatsuki Suzuki get the last spots for Q2. Japanese rider from Sic58 had his fast FP3 lap cancelled but still had a good combined time to get top 14.
