Despite a back to back raceweek incoming, Teams and MotoGP riders had to face a one day of test in Brno with some important work to do to improve their bikes and feeling with it. Having the chance to test some parts is really important in the actual MotoGP as long as Teams do not have many opportunities during the year.

Brno’s test gave so the chance for some crews to try even some parts of 2020 bikes, with Yamaha who seemed to have job to do looking for the future to the next championship. Valentino Rossi went indeed on track with a totally black livery with a narrower fairing and tried new engine as well. Nine-time World Champion ended in 6th, while his teammate Maverick Vinales and Fabio Quartararo finished on top in 2nd and 1st position, with another Yamaha on top 3 as long as Franco Morbidelli ended 3rd.

There was a lot of work also in Honda HRC box, with Marc Marquez who had three bikes in his garage; reigning World Champion ended the day in 8th and surely tried a lot of things for his bike looking to this year but on the next one as well; the Spaniard was even the only Repsol Honda Team bike on track today, while Cal Crutchlow and Takaaki Nakagami were on track with the Briton who ended the day in 5th (having three bikes on his box as well) and the Japanese in 11th.

As happened for Marquez and Crutchlow, also Alex Rins had three bikes in his box, with Suzuki who brought some new parts, especially a new hull that the Spaniard has to promote, with the chance that it could be fit on the bike for Austrian GP at Red Bull Ring already. Alex finished the day on top position with a 4th time, while his teammate Joan Mir was not too far from him in 7th

An important day of test also for Ducati, with Andrea Dovizioso who asked for some updates in order to have the chance to fight against Marc Marquez; every day seems to be crucial for the Italian team that wants to close the gap from reigning World Champion and Brno’s Test could have been a good opportunity to bring some new parts which could help Dovizioso on fighting again for the victory. Andrea ended in 12th, while his teammate Danilo Petrucci was 10th fastest. On Pramac Racing side, it was a positive test for Francesco Bagnaia who finished in 9th with podium finished Jack Miller in 13th

It was also interesting to see KTM’s job, with Austrian Team who had also tester rider Daniel Pedrosa in the garage; KTM is stepping up a lot this year but still misses something to be on the top, but Daniel’s experience and knowledge could help them on finding what they need in order to be really competitive. Anyway, Pol Espargaro finished in 14th, with his teammate Johann Zarco who seems to struggle a lot and ended in 20th position. Another rider who is having hard times is Andrea Iannone with his Aprilia, who closed the day on last position; Italian crew will probably do a revolution next year to be more close to the rivals, but at the moment they are really far from them, with also Aleix Espargaro who seemed to had a tough session of test finishing 16th.
