Second session of free practice was probably the most important one as long as rain is predicted for Saturday, forcing everyone to make a good lap to get direct access to Q2. In this scenario, FP2 became more like a session of qualifying in which every rider tried his best to get a good lap to achieve top 14.

It was Gabriel Rodrigo the fastest rider on track with a 2.08.125, with the Argentinian who suffered a huge crash after his fast lap with a high side that stopped his session with 30 seconds to go; behind Gresini rider there are Tony Arbolino and Tatsuki Suzuki who are not too far from the top.

A stunning Celestino Vietti conquered 4th position ahead of Lorenzo Dalla Porta, with the two separated by one tenth of a second and involved in a crash in which Leopard rider touched Sky Racing Team one; behind them we have FP1 leader Jaume Masia, who is just 22 thousandths of a second faster than Aron Canet.

Niccolò Antonelli ended in 8th ahead of Romano Fenati and Marcos Ramirez, with the Spaniard closing Top 10 and last rider going under the 2.09 in FP2; 11th time for Salac, while last Q2 spots are taken by John McPhee, Andrea Migno and Ai Ogura, who did not improve their lap time from morning and ended outside top 14 in the afternoon but this three guys have a good combined crono which put them in Q2.
