#DutchGP | Quartararo Pips Petrucci in Stunning FP3.
Rookie of the Year contender, Quartararo topped the 3rd Free Practice session of the #DutchGP. In 2nd position, Petrucci carried his momentum from yesterday forward. Whilst Viñales completed the top 3.
Petronas Yamaha SRT rider Quartararo topped the combined timesheets, with a time of 1:32:471, smashing the lap record. Following closely in second was Mission Winnow Ducati’s Petrucci who set a time of 1:32:580. In 3rd position was Viñales who set a time of 1:32:638.
Saturday’s opening session left Petronas Yamaha SRT’s and Yamaha’scontender for Rookie of the Year, Quartararo top of the timesheets. Viñales continued to impress, showing pace throughout yesterday’s sessions, continuing into today’s FP3, finishing 3rd. Morbidelli set a time of 1:32:913, placing him 6th. After having his fastest lap cancelled due to exceeding track limits, Rossi found himself down in 14th, with a time of 1:33:279.
Mission Winnow Ducati’s Petrucci, who has shown stunning form over the last 3 races, placed 2nd. Pramac Racing’s Miller placed 7th, setting a time of 1:32:918. Ducati’s championship contender, Dovizioso placed 8th, setting a time of 1:32:922. Ducati’s contender for Rookie of the Year, Bagnaia set a time of 1:33:228, placing 13th. Reale Avintia’s Abraham placed 16th, with a time of 1:33:854, showing good pace over the free practice sessions. Rabat found himself down in 20th, setting a time of 1:34:257, with plenty of work to be done for FP4 and Qualifying.
The fastest Honda for the FP2 session of the Dutch GP was current championship leader, Marquez who placed 4th, with a time of 1:32:688. Nakagami placed 5th, after setting a time of 1:32:890. Britain’s Crutchlow placed 9th, with a time of 1:32:956. Repsol Honda’s Lorenzo suffered a crash in FP1, he took a knock to the head and was sent to hospital for further examination. He has been declared unfit for the #DutchGP.
Suzuki’s Rookie of the Year contender, Mir placed 10th, with a time of 1:33:068. Rins found himself in 11th, with a time of 1:33:138.
The fastest Aprilia was Iannone, who has shown incredible pace this weekend, with a time of 1:33:205, in 12th. A. Espargaro placed 15th, with a time of 1:33:636.
Top KTM for FP3, was P. Espargaro with a time of 1:33:868, placing him 17th. Oliveira placed 18th, with a time of 1:33:962. Zarco found himself in 19th, having set a time of 1:34:194, after a crash during yesterday’s FP2 session, he walked away unscathed. Syahrin placed 21st, with a time of 1:34:326.
Top Rookie this session was Quartararo who topped the timesheets for the second this weekend. He will be aiming to repeat his qualifying success from the #CatalanGP and put his Petronas Yamaha SRT team on pole position for the #DutchGP.
