Alex Marquez did an impressive lap in the last session of practice before race, being able to ride in 1.43.764; Tom Luthi is behind for two tenths of a second, with the Swiss being faster than just 0.007s from poleman Augusto Fernandez. Dynavolt rider is surely looking for another podium result after the one who conquered at Mugello and to get good points for Championship standings.
Pons’ rider Augusto Fernandez will have a great chance for his maiden career victory in his home grand prix and same for Jorge Navarro, who should manage his start; the Spaniard from SpeedUp did not have many good starts this season and has to work on this aspect to fight constantly to win.
Marcel Schrotter ended in 5th ahead of Enea Bastianini, who suffered a little crash in the last part of the session; the Italian is followed by his compatriot Fabio Di Giannantonio, who is looking fine in Barcelona and will have a good chance to get a good result. Championship leader Lorenzo Baldassarri is just behind and ready to fight, while top 10 is closed by Andrea Locatelli and Luca Marini, who showed a good race pace but he has to start from behind due to a bad qualifying.
